Thailand Constitutional Law

"Constitutional Law" is the study of foundational or basic laws of nation states and other political organizations.

Constitutions are the framework for Government and may limit or define the authority and procedure of political bodies to execute new laws and regulations.

The Rule of Law dictates that Governments, people are juristic persons must be conducted according to the Law. The basic Law, the Constitution, normally describes the relationships between the judicial, legislative executive branches. It can explain how parliaments may legislate and mentions basic human rights and civil liberties.

Since 1932, Thailand had 17 constitutions and charters. Constitutions were adopted in 1932, 1946, 1949, 1952, 1968, 1974, 1976, 1978, 1991, 1997, 2007 and the actual constitution was adopted in 2017.
